It happened around 9:42 a.m. at the Wachovia Bank at 1375 Skippack Pike in Whitpain Twp.
In surveillance photos released by police, the suspect can clearly be seen displaying a handgun.
No one was hurt during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a white male, 18 to 24 years old, with "reddish" facial hair.
He was wearing dark sunglasses, dark baseball style cap, a light-colored button up long sleeve shirt, black gloves, black shoes, khaki pants.
After the robbery, police say the male was seen getting into the passenger seat of a red sedan vehicle, which was operated by a young black male.
The vehicle was last seen entering Dekalb Pike in an unknown direction.
