In a tape played at trial Thursday, a 911 caller hysterically described seeing Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski lying in the street, shot dead.
Although neither of them pulled the trigger, 35-year-old Eric Floyd and 41-year-old Levon Warner are charged with first-degree murder in Liczbinski's May 2008 death. The alleged gunman, Howard Cain, died in a shootout with police.
Prosecutors say the three men were fleeing police after robbing a bank. They say Floyd and Warner are just as responsible for Liczbinski as the shooter.
Lawyers for both men have stressed that neither fired the fatal shots.
