Dan Tam Le, who resides in the Abbey Walk Apartments, has been charged with rape in the second degree and invasion of privacy after he allegedly assaulted a female friend who passed out at his home. Le is also accused of recording the assault by taking video and photographic images.
Investigators say the rape was reported back on Tuesday June 29, 2010. The 18-year-old victim told police she was visiting Le at his home inside the Abbey Walk Apartments complex and decided to stay over because it had gotten late.
When the victim awoke, she found herself partially clothed and realized she had been sexually assaulted. She called a friend who picked her up and they then drove to Troop 6 to report the assault.
Le was arrested on Monday July 12, 2010 after images and video taken of the assault were found on his cell phone. He has been arraigned and released after he posted $11,000 secured bail.
