Police say that at 1:09 Wednesday morning a car was traveling up the street, approaching a man who was lying on the roadway, near the intersection of Benner and Montaque streets.
The car didn't see the man and drove over him. Investigators say the car then dragged the victim several feet before coming to a stop.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police consider the man as a John Doe.
Police, so far, have not filed any charges.
