Brief power outage at Six Flags Great Adventure

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, N.J. - July 19, 2010

Officials at the park say power went out around 1:27 p.m. for a few seconds.

They go on to say the glitch occurred at a Jersey Central Power and Light substation in Cookstown, which is off-site and not at the park.

Nobody was stuck on any rides, the officials said, and all of the rides were emptied.

Six Flags the went through the process of re-booting all the rides and going through their safety checks.

The park was operating normally Monday by mid-afternoon.
