Police say the 21-year-old woman was sitting in a vehicle with two other friends when they were approached about 1 a.m. Sunday by an armed man who demanded their valuables. Police say the victim ignored the demands and as the car backed out of its parking space, she was struck in the calf by a bullet that traveled through the passenger door. The driver took the woman to Christiana Hospital, where she was listed in good condition.
Police said they are searching for the gunman.
