$25,000 in laptops stolen from Phila. school

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA - October 20, 2010

Someone took 15 MacBook laptop computers from the Girard Academic Music Program magnet school sometime between 3:30 p.m. on October 18th and 7:00 a.m. on October 19th.

The computers were locked in a mobile cabinet designed to hold and charge the computers, police said.

The lock was cut and the computers and batteries were taken.

The missing items are valued at around $25,000.

It was just last week that Ethan Allen Elementary teacher Kathleen Kremis was arrested and charged with stealing 40 Apple laptops from that school.
