Police near Uniontown say they don't have a motive or a suspect in the crime early Monday, though they are investigating whether the thief was trying to crash through the wall of the gas station to steal items inside.
Police say nothing was taken from the Sunoco Station on Route 119 in Bullskin Township.
Police didn't immediately say who owned the excavator or how someone managed to steal it.
