Police say the man told officers that three men approached him from behind while he was leaning into his vehicle Saturday afternoon. Police say the man said he tried to run but was surrounded and struck by one of the suspects with a shotgun. The man then yelled for help and the three ran off empty handed.
Police say the unidentified victim suffered facial and arm injuries that did not require medical attention.
