Oregon veterinarian Sean Barrett says the giant tortoise is being moved to warmer weather in South Texas.
His owners recently purchased Ozzie from an Indiana circus.
Dr. Barrett treated Ozzie for a pulmonary tract infection that caused him to stop eating.
Barrett says at about a century and a half, Ozzie is just a kid, in tortoise years.
Barrett tells a local paper the oldest giant tortoise on record lived to be about 255 years old at a zoo in Calcutta, India.
