Sands Casino in Bethlehem wants to add 29 table games to its stable of 100 tables. That would give Sands the second-largest table games floor in the state, behind only the 152 tables at Parx Casino outside Philadelphia
Sands is seeking approval for 20 more blackjack tables, eight new baccarat tables and one more roulette table.
To help man the new tables, Sands plans to hire 80 more dealers, 30 table games managers and 29 workers in finance, security and housekeeping.
The expansion is expected to be approved Thursday by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. The board has never denied an expansion request.
