Trial ordered in eastern Pa. Xmas shooting death

EASTON, Pa. - February 27, 2011

Forty-six-year-old John McGlinchey III of Nockamixon Township is charged with homicide and attempted homicide. Forty-three-year-old of Kimiko Moon died a week and a half after the Dec. 24 shooting in Easton.

Marqis Moon, who was 17 at the time, testified Friday that McGlinchey shot his aunt and then shot him twice in the head. His father, Christopher Moon, said McGlinchey had earlier threatened to kill Kimiko Moon if she didn't drive him to a home where McGlinchey said someone had stolen money from him.

Prosecutors say they are still evaluating whether to seek the death penalty. They may decide by McGlinchey's March 24 formal arraignment.
