According to authorities, Michael Findley of Pasadena hailed a cab.
The cabbie tells the New York Post Findley was sloppy drunk and spilling fried rice all over the taxi.
The driver pulled over to tell Findley to scram.
But police say Findley dragged the driver out of the cab and took over himself.
According to authorities, he crashed into a traffic light.
Findley was treated for minor injuries, then arrested on a number of charges including robbery.
