It was just before 10:00 p.m. along the 4500 block of Melrose Street when Philadelphia Police say they came face to face with a few suspects wanted in a possible home invasion.
At least one officer discharged their weapon, striking one of the suspects in the buttocks. The other 2 suspects fled on foot but were apprehended at the intersection of Orthodox and Stiles Streets after a brief pursuit by a crush of cops that flooded the area.
At least two of the three suspects were taken to Aria Hospital Torresdale division for treatment.
The third suspect was taken into custody.
