NJ treasurer to give budget update

TRENTON, N.J. - March 28, 2011

Gov. Chris Christie's budget projects $1.2 billion in growth from tax revenue due to the improving economy.

Sidamon-Eristoff and the Legislature's budget officer, David Rosen, are both set to update the committee on the state's finances.

It's the first time the treasurer will go over the numbers for Christie's proposed 2012 budget since the governor unveiled it last month.

The most recent report from Treasury showed New Jersey's revenue outlook halfway through the 2011 fiscal year was promising, with tax collections up 4.5 percent over projections.
