That's the word from Bucks County District Attorney David Heckler.
The incident happened around 8:40 a.m. at the intersection of Bristol Road Churchville Road in the parking lot of the Jesus Focus Ministry.
The officer has not been identified, however Action News has learned he was 55 years old and a 22 year veteran of the force.
Officials tell the Associated Press that Ivyland Borough Police Chief Nicholas Rosato suffered a possible heart attack as he responded to the scene.
St. Mary Medical Center spokeswoman Kathleen Smith told the AP that Rosato is in serious condition.
