Trenton police building, cars damaged by rocks

TRENTON, N.J. - May 17, 2011

Irvin Saydee, 33, of Trenton was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, and aggravated assault on a police officer.

According to investigators, Saydee tried to use an overnight call box at the West Police District building on Hermitage Avenue early Tuesday morning.

For some reason he became enraged and began throwing softball-size rocks at the building and two police cars parked outside.

Three windows in the entrance door were broken, a large double pane 10 x 10 foot window in the entrance atrium was smashed and two police vehicle windshields sustained damaged.

The total damage is estimated to be at least $2000 or more.

Police say Saydee resisted arrest and one officer suffered a bruised cheek while attempting to subdue him.
