Shoplifters sought after fight with employee

GLOUCESTER TWP., N.J. - May 25, 2011

It was around 5:20 p.m. on May 20th when the women entered the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 1360 Blackwood-Clementon Road in Gloucester Township, New Jersey.

The pair began to shoplift various hair care products but, at one point, they were confronted by an employee.

That employee grabbed a handbag containing the stolen items away from one of the suspects and told a co-worker to call police.

Police say that's when one of the women began struggling with the employee in an attempt to get her handbag back.

During the struggle, police say one of the women then tried to bite the employee on the hand.

The worker let go of the bag and the suspects fled on foot, stealing items worth less than $10.
