Toppled trees cause trouble in NJ

TRENTON - July 6, 2011

An isolated storm ripped through parts of Mercer and Burlington County early Wednesday evening taking down a few trees in the process.

One of those trees fell atop a car along the 200 block of Mansfield Road in Mansfield, New Jersey.

Meanwhile, residents in Trenton had troubles of their own.

Lightning struck a tree along Market Street, snapping it at the trunk and blocking half of the road for a time.

Homeowner Kathy Lunetta told Action News she was outside on her porch on the phone when she saw the tree topple over.

No injuries were reported.
