It started on the 2600 block of Pennrose Avenue shortly before 2:00 a.m. Wednesday.
Police say two men approached a man in car stopped at a light on Pennrose Avenue, forced him out of the car with a gun, jumped in and took off.
The duo crashed the vehicle a short time later.
Officers arrested one suspect but one person got away. Police say a weapon was recovered.
The carjacked driver was not seriously hurt.
