Investigators say shots rang out just after midnight Monday along the 1800 block of South Fifth Street.
Several bullets struck a 25-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 19-year-old man is in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the chest.
A 20-year-old man is in the hospital with a bullet wound to the arm.
Homicide detectives are interviewing the 20-year-old.
They hope to get a description of the killer and an understanding of the motive behind the shootings.
