The Lehigh County coroner's office said Monday that 24-year-old Erick Hernandez Mayen of Allentown died of blunt and sharp force injuries from the July 17 attack in an Allentown apartment.
First Deputy Coroner Paul Hoffman told The (Allentown) Morning Call that Mayen died Saturday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.
A man accused of kicking Mayen while he was on the ground has been held on an aggravated assault charge. Police say they have been trying to determine whether Mayen was pushed from the window, fell or jumped to escape an attack.
