Gunman robs 2 Metro PCS stores in NE Phila.

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA - August 4, 2011

The first incident occurred on July 22, 2011. At 7:44 p.m. a man entered the Metro PCS store located at 6820 Bustleton Avenue and pointed a gun at an employee demanding money. The employee handed over $100 in cash, and the suspect then fled on foot West on Knorr Street.

Then on July 28, 2011 at 4:13 p.m., a man entered the Metro PCS located at 813 Adams Avenue. He pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the employee on duty. The employee gave the suspect approximately $500-$700 in cash from the register. The suspect told the employee to open the safe, which the employee could not open.

The gunman then ordered the employee to the back of the store and fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male, 45-60 years of age, 5'10"-5'11", 220-230 lbs.
