Crews battle two-alarm blaze in Wilmington

WILMINGTON - August 19, 2011

The fire broke out inside of a home on the 600 block of Ferris Street.

Shortly after midnight, firefighters arrived to find heavy flames coming from a home. The fire quickly spread to nearby residences.

Over 30 fire and EMS crews responded to the scene. Upon arrival, fire crews an hour to get the blaze under control.

The home where the flames originated sustained significant damage.

Two adults and two children were displaced because of the fire but no injuries have been reported.

The Red Cross was called in to assist residents affected by the fire.

No word on what sparked the blaze.
