Suspect named in NJ bank robbery, shooting

HAMILTON, N.J. - September 16, 2011

Officials believe Jeffrey Garret Jr. robbed the same JP Morgan Chase Bank in Hamilton Township in November 2010.

Authorities say a gunman entered the bank on Aug. 23, waived and pointed a silver pistol at the teller and fired. The suspect escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The teller has recovered from her wounds.

Authorities are not saying what led them to suspect Garret because the investigation remains ongoing.

The FBI says Garret should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about this robbery should immediately contact the FBI at 973-792-3000.
