Police Chief Keith Banks told the Delaware Coast Press that the injured victim is a 43-year-old who was taken to a local hospital and then transported to Christiana Hospital.
The accident happened at 1:15 p.m. Monday in the westbound lane of Rehoboth Avenue. Banks said the Jeep was driven by a 21-year-old man from Maryland.
Local police and state police were investigating. No fault has been determined.
