Website helps parent sell and save on baby gear

These are just a few of the great deals on gently used baby gear items available on ReCrib.

"ReCrib is an online marketplace for the best gently used kids and baby gear," explains site founder Daniel Lehmann.

Lehmann and his wife founded ReCrib when they were looking to sell their used baby furniture and couldn't find another site dedicated to that purpose -- even though, Lehmann says, high-end baby gear is an ideal resale item.

"We as parents spend a lot of money on kids gear. It's built to last. It's highly designed and after two or three years, we're done with it," he says.

All the items are listed according to zip code, so buyers and sellers from the same area can meet in person to conduct their transactions. And Lehmann's staff make sure that everything listed conforms to current safety standards.

They're also selective about the quality of items listed. You won't find $20 umbrella strollers from a superstore here, but you will find high-end items at deep discounts.

Lehmann says, "Typically, 50% and oftentimes, even more. So a Bugaboo, which can cost $900, you can find it on ReCrib for $450. And in many cases, they've hardly been used."
