Police: Fmr. Montco teacher had sex with teen

HATFIELD, Pa. - March 27, 2012

Nicole Jacques, of the 2000 block of Maple Avenue in Hatfield Township, is charged with 20 counts of Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, 20 counts of Statutory Sexual Assault, 10 counts of Unlawful Contact with a Minor and 20 counts of Corruption of Minors.

The Hatfield Police Department said the investigation began back on February 10th when one of the teen's parents contacted officers about "excessive and inappropriate contact" between the 15-year-old and Jacques.

Police say, through their investigation, they learned Jacques met the teen while she worked at the Calvary Baptist School, but resigned in 2011.

Following her resignation, police said, Jacques still continued to communicate with the victim and that was when the relationship turned sexual - with the encounters taking place at Jacques apartment.

Investigators went on to say that Jacques did not engage in any criminal behavior while she was employed as a teacher. The Calvary Baptist School is cooperating with the investigation, police said.

Jacques was arraigned on Monday and was held on $50,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 4th.
