It happened around 3:20 Sunday morning on the 2600 block of Kensington Avenue.
Initial reports indicate that the 26-year-old man lost control of his bike when he crashed into the back of an SUV stopped at a red light.
The motorcyclist was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No word if the driver of the other vehicle sustained any injuries.
The victim's identity has not been released.
