MEDIA, Pa. (AP) - May 19, 2012

The Delaware County Daily Times says 22-year-old Brian Anderson of Chester was convicted of first-degree murder in the April 2011 death of 19-year-old Toby Gale Jr.

Twenty-one-year-old Donier White of Chester was convicted of involuntary manslaughter but acquitted of more serious charges.

Both were also convicted Thursday in Delaware County Court of tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse, and Anderson of possession of instruments of crime.

Police said workers found Gale's bound body in trash bags near a construction site near the foot of a bridge. An autopsy concluded that he was killed by blows to the skull and asphyxiation.

Anderson and White are scheduled to be sentenced July 26.
