Man shot by cops after pizza shop robbery ID'd

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA - February 8, 2013

Stephen Easterling, 28, of the 6000 block of Lebanon Avenue, was wounded by police gunfire after the robbery on the afternoon of Friday, February 1st.

According to police, Easterling and another man entered the Little Caesar's restaurant on Island Avenue.

Officers say the two men forced employees to open the safe and hand over the money.

While both men were fleeing the scene, police say officers caught up to them.

Easterling allegedly pointed his gun at an officer and was shot by police.

The other man got away and has not been located.

Easterling is being held on $1.5 million bail.
