More than 100 animals seized from Bedminster home

BEDMINSTER, Pa. - April 19, 2013

Officers say they have removed more than 100 dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and other animals from a suburban Philadelphia home.

The animals were seized from a home in Bedminster on Thursday evening. Bucks County SPCA Executive Director Anne Irwin says the situation appears to be a case of hoarding.

The animals are being examined at shelters in Solebury and Quakertown.

Officials say officers went to the home Wednesday after receiving an anonymous complaint that there were animals living in filthy conditions. On Thursday, a judge issued a search warrant for law enforcement officers to search the property.
