FEMA deadline looms for New Jerseyans

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - May 1, 2013

FEMA says the deadline to register and also to return Small Business Administration loan applications is 11:59 p.m. Wednesday.

FEMA says it has received 309 new registrations in the last 24 hours.

Four disaster recovery centers remain open in Brick Township, Toms River, Union Beach and Mays Landing.

FEMA says it has approved nearly $391 million in grants to individuals and households in New Jersey since Sandy hit little more than six months ago.

Residents can register for FEMA assistance by calling 800-621-FEMA or online at DisasterAssistance.gov.
