Caught on video: Burglary at Center City deli

Philadelphia police are trying to track down a bandit who broke into a Center City deli.

In surveillance video captured by the Pac-A-Deli grocery at 12th and Walnut, the suspect is seen surveying his surroundings.

As cars pass in the background, the video shows the suspect with a rock in his hand.

He backs away then makes his way to the front door and smashes the glass.

He lowers his body through the door as glass falls on him and goes right for the cash register.

He grabs it and runs down Chancellor Street.

The burglary happened around 4:00 a.m. Wednesday.

The suspect remains at large.

He was wearing a light colored baseball cap, a blue and white plaid construction shirt, with a light colored hood, blue jeans and tan boots.

Police are hoping someone will recognize him and turn him in.
