Robbery suspect jumps counter, attacks worker

Philadelphia police are looking for the young suspect who leaped a counter and attacked a worker inside a South Philadelphia store.

It was 12:25 on December 2, 2013, when the suspect entered the City News Tobacco store located on the 2600 block of South Franklin Street.

The suspect acted as though he was making a purchase. But when the employee opened the cash register, the suspect suddenly jumped over the counter and attacked the worker.

The suspect grabbed an undetermined amount of cash from the register drawer then fled.

He is described as a black male, 20 years-of-age, medium build, light skin, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
