Art of Aging: Importance of staying active

As we get older, we may not be able to dunk or dance the way we used to.

Experts say exercise is the golden ticket to living well in your golden years.

Whether you find a gym with a silver sneakers program or take classes at your local Y, there are plenty of ways to get a workout.

Donna Price, Health Consultant says, "The healing exercises that I teach here are for seniors and they help seniors to gain better balance, flexibility, peace of mind, relaxation and stability."

Through classes, older adults can get fit, have fun and even make friends, all while reducing the risk of disease.

Kathleen Gambrell, Line Dance Instructor says, "...now they're coming back and saying their doctor is telling them to continue to line dance because it keeps their blood pressure down, their sugar down."
