4 charged in Kensington prostitution bust

Philadelphia police have arrested four men who allegedly solicited undercover police officers in the city's Kensington section.

The arrests, which occurred on Tuesday, were conducted as part of a citywide prostitution initiative targeting "Johns".

Arrested were 52-year-old Donald Farrell from 2500 of Jessup Street, 75-year-old Jorgaqi Rezhdo from 3100 block of Mercer Street, 24-year-old Joshua Smith from 3000 block of C Street, and 75-year-old Edward Haynes from Yardley, Bucks County.

All four were charged with Patronizing Prostitution and Solicitation.

Police say in addition to the arrests, $1,298 in cash and a 2006 Toyota Avalon were confiscated as a result of the investigation.

Authorities released booking photos for Farrell, Smith and Haynes on Wednesday. A photo of Rezhdo was unavailable.
