MONROEVILLE, Pa. -- Police are searching for suspects after two New Jersey jewelry dealers said they were attacked and robbed of $1.2 million worth of jewelry outside a western Pennsylvania cafe.

Monroeville Police Chief Doug Cole says the two men were attacked Saturday by at least four people outside the Udipi Cafe on Old William Penn Highway.

Cole says the suspects broke into the van of the victims, who had been selling jewelry at a show at a hotel earlier in the day. The two men were taken to Forbes Hospital with unknown injuries.

The suspects were wearing dark clothing with baseball caps. Police say at least one was a woman.

Police and the FBI are investigating.
