George Carty waived extradition. He'll be charged with aggravated manslaughter in the slaying of John Attenborough 25 years ago.

In the early 1980s, Carty and Attenborough worked at Wildwood Golf and Country Club in Middle Township. Carty was 24.

A colleague at the time tells The Press of Atlantic City both men drank heavily and Attenborough could be abusive.

Attenborough's body was found next to his car near a construction site. The case was shoved aside until earlier this year when it was assigned to rookie detective Ed Musick.

Carty graduated from Atlantic Cape Community College in 1990 and became a registered nurse. He graduated from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2005.

He's held on $500,000 bail.
