Former NHL MVP Peter Forsberg could decide soon whether he's healthy enough to make a return to the league. Forsberg won two Stanley Cups with Colorado but has not played since last season.

Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren says he expects Forsberg to decide by Tuesday whether he wants to resume his career after struggling with foot and ankle injuries.

The Flyers are certainly in the mix of teams interested in Forsberg. Forsberg spent one and one-half seasons in Philadelphia and was the team captain last season until he was traded to Nashville.

He also helped lead Sweden to Olympic gold medals in Lillehammer in 1994 and Turin in 2006.
