Police seek ex-boyfriend in woman's murder

LINDENWOLD, N.J. - March 27, 2008 Lindenwold police found the body of 22-year-old Krystal Skinner on Wednesday morning inside her apartment in the Linden Hill complex on Chews Landing Road. Her 2-year-old son, John, was at home and unharmed.

Police went to the apartment after Skinner failed to report for work at a Pennsauken deli. She was also a senior at Rutgers-Camden.

Skinner was a social work major and her family says she was interning with DYFS and was going to work for the agency after graduating in May.

Neighbors and family members say Skinner had a stormy relationship with the baby's father, a 37-year-old man who served time for stalking, simple assault and contempt.

While police continue their search for the killer, we've learned that DYFS is placing the little boy with Skinner's family, something family members wanted very badly.

Anyone with information on the killing is urged to contact Camden County Prosecutor's Office Investigator Eric Wren at (856) 225-8400 or Lindenwold Police Detective Ray Benevento at (856) 784-7566.
