New York cabbie Douglas Guldeniz is being honored for going the extra mile -- thousands of them.

He drove a Queens couple some 2,500 miles to their new retirement home in Arizona last April.

Now, Guldeniz is getting official recognition for what officials believe is the longest taxi ride in city history.

He won the city Taxi and Limousine Commission's Going the Extra Mile award.

He was among about 60 cabbies honored yesterday for doing good deeds, ranging from returning lost cell phones to stopping a rape suspect.
