Haverford Township Police are investigating a shooting that sent one man to an area hospital. It happened shortly before 7:00 Friday night in the vicinity of the Haverford train station. Details remain sketchy but following a shooting at that site, police pursued a car believed to be occupied by a pair of men connected to the incident.

The pursuit culminated just over the county line in Philadelphia at Haverford and Sherwood Roads. That's where the suspects crashed and attempted to flee the wreckage on foot. Police gave chase and apprehended them.

Both were transported to Haverford Police headquarters for questioning.

The shooting victim, who was found at the original scene, was rushed to The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where police say he is in critical condition.

No official reason has been given for the shooting.
