A bus carrying 47 teenagers and a half-dozen chaperones from New Jersey has crashed in Utah, resulting in minor injuries.

Utah sheriff's deputies have identified the bus tour operator as Rein Teen Tours of Wayne, New Jersey.

A woman who answered the phone at Rein Teen Tours says the company had no comment.

Police say the group on the bus is from the East Coast, but have not yet identified which state.

The bus went off a state highway near Bryce Canyon National Park in southern Utah. It landed upside down in a creek bed and caught fire earlier today.

A spokesman for the Utah Highway Patrol says at least five people aboard the bus were taken to hospitals with minor injuries. He added that everyone escaped the bus before it went up in flames.
