ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA This isn't like sticking your foot in with jaws, is it? No. You stick four toes in a pool of water with the fish, and you come out with four toes.

You also come out without much of the callous and dead flesh you hate - stuff that the fish kind of love.

John Ho, the man who offers this treatment at a salon in Alexandria, Virginia, travelled to China to learn the art of using tiny garra rufa, or "doctor fish," to eat dead skin off feet.

Ho says it is much smoother and more sanitary that a razor. Some even compare it to a foot massage.
