Police say on Friday they spotter Porter driving a car that had been taken in one of the burglaries. An officer stopped Porter and police found evidence linking him to five burglaries in which jewelry, prescription drugs and other items were stolen. Some of the jewelry was recovered as was a plasma television, worth $3,600, that Porter is accused of selling to a neighbor for $50.
Police also arrested Carmichael after their investigation showed she had pawned some of the jewelry from one of the burglaries.
