Arrest in Center City robberies

CENTER CITY - September 28, 2008 - Philadelphia Police arrested 47-year old Kevin McCray Saturday night.

The arrest was made in the 100 block of South 13th Street after police in the 6th district recognized McCray.

Police say McCray struck 10 times this month, including three days in a row last week.

The latest robbery was Saturday at a Rite Aid in the 200 block of South Broad St.

Police say McCray has 27 priors starting in the 1980s. 18 of those were for robberies. His most recent arrest was in August when he allegedly robbed a Wawa.
