New details in Schuylkill shooting

UNIVERSITY CITY - October 9, 2008 Police announced they are now seeking a "vehicle of interest." It's described as a charcoal color Ford F-150 with Pennsylvania license plates.

Investigators aren't saying whether they believe the driver of that truck is a suspect or witness.

They do say, however, that they believe there are additional witnesses to the shooting, which happened around 8:45 p.m. Sunday on I-76 near Passyunk Avenue.

If you know anything that may help police in this case, call 215-686-TIPS.

On Wednesday, Action News learned that 41-year-old Thomas Timko of Glendora, New Jersey, had been upgrade to fair condition.

He was in critical condition after being shot in the head Sunday night.

The bullets barely missed his 8-year-old daughter, who was riding in the backseat.

Police say Timko lives with a female friend in Glendora. He was driving that friend's car, and had just crossed the Walt Whitman bridge to take his daughter back to Norristown after a weekend visit.

There have been no arrests yet, and no word as to who may have pulled the trigger.

Police think there might have been some kind of incident at the tolls before the Walt Whitman Bridge, and the shooting could have been the result of road rage.
