Woman killed in Paterson hit-and-run

PATERSON, N.J. (AP) - November 9, 2008 Paterson Detective Lt. Anthony Traina says 24-year-old Keema Green of Teaneck faces a third-degree charge of causing death with a vehicle while driving with a suspended license.

Traina says Green was badly beaten during the fight and was trying to flee the scene when she struck and killed 26-year-old Natalie Mestre of Paterson.

Police believe Mestre, a mother of two, may have been a bystander not involved in the fight.

Five women were also treated and released for minor injuries at a nearby hospital.

Traina says Green has been released on bail, and did not yet have a lawyer.
