Student dies after shooting at Fla. high school

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - November 12, 2008 Police say Teah Wimberly shot 15-year-old Amanda Collette during an argument at Dillard High School while students were changing classes Wednesday morning. Wimberly was charged with first-degree murder and discharging a weapon on school property.

Collette's body was found on a hallway floor. She was shot in the torso.

Authorities say Wimberly walked across the street to a restaurant, where she called police and told them she had shot her friend. A gun was recovered.

Police say no other students are believed involved. The motive was still being investigated.
